Relationships are a huge part of what makes our life meaningful. Struggling in our most important relationships can be stressful, painful, and excruciatingly lonely. I feel privileged to help couples and individuals improve and deepen their relationships. I bring years of research on human attachment as well as formal training in the most evidence-based couples therapy system, Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), which helps partners understand the emotions driving their conflicts and rebuild a stronger, more secure bond.

In my work with individual clients, I draw on attachment theory as well as cognitive behavioral therapy to help them gain insight into and control over negative emotions. This includes extensive experience treating childhood trauma, helping clients understand how early experiences continue to shape their thoughts, relationships, and sense of self today, and supporting them in moving toward healing. 

I also have experience working with mood disorders, anxiety, and related disorders. I especially enjoy helping clients break free from OCD, using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) Therapy, a highly effective, evidence-based approach for reducing the grip of obsessions and compulsions.

My third area of expertise, neuropsychological testing, allows me to help bring clarity to individuals and families who are struggling with cognitive, academic, or functional challenges. I provide comprehensive diagnostic testing to support treatment planning, greater understanding of strengths / weaknesses, accommodations at school or work, and necessary documentation for disability applications.
