Kayla Mayerfeld, Research Intern

About

Hi! I'm Kayla, and I am an intern working to support the clinical and research teams at Only-Connect. I have my BA in Psychology and am currently preparing to pursue doctoral training in clinical psychology, with a strong interest in the intersection of research and therapeutic work.

I assist Only-Connect's clinical team with documentation processes, updating and managing client-facing materials such as consent forms and documents to create a smooth and organized care experience. By supporting the clinicians, I am able to improve care for clients and make the process of receiving support easier.

I am also involved in the development of an ongoing research study focused on relationships and couple satisfaction. I work on research design and the application of psychological theory to real-world relational dynamics. I am passionate about evidence-based care, and functioning in this role for Only-Connect gives me the opportunity to bridge the gap between research and clinical work.
