About
As a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and a strength-based approach in the client’s therapy journey. However, I believe that the therapeutic alliance carries as much if not more weight than any one modality to effectuate change. My goal is to provide multiculturally competent care that emphasizes compassion, collaboration, and a safe supportive environment to optimize conditions for successful therapy.
My style is warm, patient and non-judgemental, meeting the client where they are at, and allowing you, the client, to set the pace and tone. I am focused less on solving problems, and more on opening up this space to foster curiosity and internal resilience to utilize more adaptive coping mechanisms that will bring you closer to your goals. I walk alongside my clients to better understand their experiences, identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and develop practical tools for change.
My areas of specialty include clients struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, prenatal and postpartum mental health challenges. My focus on eating disorders stems from a desire to help clients heal their relationship with food and body image while building a more flexible, compassionate connection with themselves.
Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply exhausted from carrying so much on your own, therapy can be a place to slow down, process what's going on, and start moving forward. I encourage you to show up exactly as you are, knowing you will be accepted and appreciated in your entirety, and will have a committed partner in your road to recovery and self-empowerment.
