I am Julia Mackey, LMHC, providing virtual services in New York and Florida. I am passionate about providing holistic and supportive mental health care that supports individuals as they take a new approach to their emotional wellness.
With experience working with individuals and families going through life transitions, addiction, women’s health/family planning, PTSD, and special needs, I have had the honor of working with various life paths. I am also passionate about working with those who have experience within the foster care system and have previously assisted clients with transitioning home after adoption. My priority is empowering my clients in their current life journey so that we can create long term sustainable change as they become the person they want to be.
I use a dynamic approach of DBT, CBT, mindfulness, trauma-informed and person-centered care to provide clients with a safe environment to explore and create change. I believe that not only is change possible, but that in embracing the parts of us that may feel scared about broaching change, together, we are able to achieve one’s overall goals.
Clients can expect to feel empowered to create change in their own life, feel supported as they uncover new truths about themselves, as well as know we are taking action-oriented steps towards their goals.
