I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York and Florida working with both individual and emotion-focused couples therapy. I typically work with those experiencing depression, anxiety, emotion dysregulation, relationship issues, addiction, OCD, ADHD, life transitions and personality disorders. I also work with clients experiencing complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD) or complex trauma, utilizing attachment-based therapy. I aim to help these clients move forward to live a fulfilling life while recognizing and processing the repeated trauma that they have experienced.

I typically work with those who suffer from mood disorders, including depression and bipolar II, anxiety, relationship issues, chronic illness, life-transition stressors and difficulties coping with work and school. Additionally, I specialize in working with individuals age 65 years or older, and use my own immigrant experience as a tool for understanding my clients and am passionate about helping those struggling with acculturation.

I am a Licensed Master’s of Social Work, dually licensed in NY and NJ, and I specialize in individual and couples therapy. My areas of focus include: anger management, relationship conflicts, men’s mental health, challenging family dynamics, self-esteem issues, ADHD, OCD and trauma. Although my therapy style is integrative, I draw heavily from CBT, Motivational Interviewing and Gestalt therapy.

My name is Nivin Hamada and I currently hold an LP in Mental Health Counseling and an additional certification in Trauma-Focused Therapy. My main area of focus is working with those struggling with anxiety, depression, mood regulation, ADHD, anger management, family issues, maternal mental health, panic disorder, PTSD, and self-esteem issues. Within couples therapy, I work with clients to understand the dynamics of what it means to be committed to someone with each person needing to be validated and understood.
